The Company maintains a zero-tolerance position towards modern slavery in all forms, including forced or compulsory labour, human trafficking, servitude, debt bondage, and child labour. Such practices are wholly unacceptable and have no place in our operations, our business relationships, or our supply chain.
This Statement sets out the principles and measures adopted by the Company to prevent, identify, and address risks of modern slavery and related labour abuses.
1. Company Profile
C&A Machinery Sdn Bhd is a Malaysia-based manufacturer of plastic bag machinery and an industrial spare parts supplier. Our activities may require the procurement of materials, components, and services from external parties and may involve third-party contractors supporting logistics, maintenance, and other operational needs.
2. Policy Position and Core Principles
The Company’s expectations are clear:
Employment must be freely chosen. No person shall be required to work through coercion, intimidation, threats, deception, or abuse of vulnerability.

Respect, dignity, and lawful treatment. All individuals working for or on behalf of the Company must be treated fairly, with dignity and respect, and in accordance with applicable labour requirements.
3. Governance and Accountability
Overall responsibility for this Statement and the Company’s approach to preventing modern slavery rests with senior management. The Company expects managers and personnel with responsibilities in human resources, procurement, and contractor engagement to implement these principles in practice, identify indicators of risk, and escalate concerns promptly and appropriately.
4. Operational Controls and Employment Standards
To give effect to our zero-tolerance position, the Company seeks to maintain the following standards, as applicable to our operations:
Transparent employment terms: Employees should receive clear information regarding employment terms, including job scope, wages, working hours, overtime arrangements, and lawful deductions.
Wages and working hours: The Company is committed to lawful wage practices and accurate recording of working hours and payroll.
Freedom of movement and resignation: Employees must be free to leave employment in accordance with applicable notice requirements and without unlawful penalties.
Prohibition of exploitative practices: The Company does not condone practices associated with forced labour risk, including but not limited to:
a. charging recruitment fees or related costs to workers by recruitment intermediaries;
b. confiscation or retention of passports, identity documents, or permits, except where strictly required for lawful administrative purposes and with the worker’s knowledge and consent;
c. restrictions on workers’ movement or personal liberty not required by law, safety, or legitimate operational necessity.
Worker voice and grievance: The Company supports the ability of workers to raise concerns without fear of retaliation and seeks to handle complaints sensitively, fairly, and, where possible, confidentially.
5. Supply Chain and Third-Party Expectations
The Company recognises that modern slavery risks may arise beyond direct employment, including in supply chains and through contractors. Accordingly, we expect suppliers, contractors, and service providers to uphold standards consistent with this Statement, including:
prohibition of forced labour, human trafficking, and unlawful child labour;
ethical recruitment practices, including the prohibition of recruitment fees charged to workers;
non-retention of passports or identity documents; and lawful and humane working conditions.
Where appropriate, the Company may communicate these expectations through contractual terms, purchase documentation, supplier onboarding, and engagement processes. Where credible concerns are identified, the Company may seek clarification, require corrective action, and/or reconsider the continuation of the business relationship.
6. Reporting, Investigation, and Remediation

assess and investigate the matter promptly;

consider reporting to relevant authorities where required by applicable law.
The Company will not tolerate retaliation against any person who raises a concern in good faith.
